Great Sound !
I was looking for a good pair of headphones . My first purchase was th Bose earbuds. It wasn't what I expected from bose ( especially considering the price) .I kept misplacing the inserts and the quality of sound wasn't very good.
I got these Sony earbuds on my second try. They are great. The rubber inserts are a lot more fixed and they do not drop off very easily. The sound is fantastic; the highs,mids,and lows are very well balanced. The cord also detaches to half the length; very handy if you're you have a ipod nano and like to have it in your shirt pocket.
They also stay fixed in your ear and keep out sweat (if you jog like me this is definately a huge plus)
I would definately recommend this product to anyone

Excellent, Excellent sound with these headphones. I am not the techy type and was not even sure what kind of headphones I should be looking for. I just knew that I wanted something with some good sound. I took a chance on these since they were a bit more pricey. I cannot believe the difference in sound quality compared to the $15-$20 headphones. The earbuds are a bit hard and the rubber inserts could be softer for better comfort. But overall, I would give this a huge thumbs up.

Excellent earbuds....
I HATE them, but my son LOVES them! He says they have superior sound and they definitely isolate outside noises..... Which is why I hate them. When he has them on, he can't hear me calling him to do his chores, schoolwork, etc. ;o)

Seriously though, these earbuds isolate outside sounds so well that you have to be careful where you use them.

Occasionally a bit of static
I've owned these for a little over a month now; I use them daily for most of the day - walking to and from work, and working in a chemistry laboratory. Headphones are my sanity, and I picked these very carefully based on reviews here. The sound is clear, crisp, and respond well to the settings on the device you are using (i.e. rock/spoken word/extra bass etc on the iPod touch/iPhone). Every now and then there's a slight, almost barely detectable static in the background - I'd say 5% of the 12 hrs/day that I use it. Other than that, these are great - though I'm not sure there's a big difference with how they sound compared to the $20 Sony headphones my boyfriend bought at the same time.

The Best $30 can get you!
I bought these to replace my old pair of V-Moda Vibe's that just flat out broke on me. All around, these have been an improvement, and haven't made a dent in my bank.

1. Sound: The sound quality on these is very evenly balanced. The bass isn't overwhelming, yet it is also very strong and punchy. You'll be surprised to hear some really low frequencies in Rap songs, but still keep things even in Rock. The highs are crisp and clear, and not so strong that it even feels like you are hurting your ears.

2. Comfort: These are the most comfortable pair of earbuds I've ever owned. They come with different sized ear pieces, so be sure to try them all before enjoying them fully. They stay in my ears even though I'm active and sweaty, and they are flush with the ear so you can lay on a pillow with these on and not feel any extra pressure. They create a full seal just as the V-Moda's did, but the seal stays.

3. Durability: I've wrapped them around my hands, my iPod, my pocket, and after 7 months, the rubber tip that protects where the wire connects to the earbud and says "SONY" and L broke off and slides freely up and down the cable. Here it is, 9 months after purchase date and that's still the only issue I've had. The wire is rubber coated, so it's not indestructible, but normal wear and tear is tolerated with these. They don't tangle as easy as others, and they don't fold and coil up even though you are wearing them.

4. Price: $30 for all of this? Great sound, excellent fit, good durability... you can't beat it.

They may not be the best out there, but compare them to others this price and these put any other earbud to shame. They honestly sound and feel $50 more.
